Yar, all my toons are on SH, except my Mage on Sagaras.

On the Alliance side, I play Dainez (Dwarf Hunter), Barcha (NE Druid), Deyrik (Gnome Rogue), and Lysandor (Human Mage). Mostly I play Dainez. The others I play when I just feel like goofing off. What can I say? I love the first 25-30 levels of EVERY STARTING AREA IN THE GAME, and have played through them all, at least once.

a horde newbie is greeted with a miserable wasteland all the way up to level 30 and long runs with poorly conencted flightpaths. the barrens is as big as 2 normal zones, but has 2 flightpaths, and they expect horde characters to run around this damn thing. alliance characters look better, and are more readily identified as "good guys", and orcs in WC1&2 were bastards anyway, even if thrall is a bleeding heart liberal.

of course the horde is less popular. the first zones are miserable and depressing. teldrassil is much nicer than the stinking undead forest, dun morogh much cooler than durotar, and while elwen forest is similar to mulgore, the human architecture of the land is more appealing than a bunch of tents.

my friend, a WoW newb, tried a troll mage alt to level 14 while his priest was level 30. he remade a human mage, commenting:
    "Horde sucks."

I just could not see Thrall in a tie dye shirt and sandals.

I've done waaaaayyy less running with my undead than on any of my other chars. My orc shammie, however, is probably about par with some of the Ashenvale stuff (not to mention Duskwood, good lord... if you don't know how to stack the quests in that place - i.e. first time through - you're screwed). And I agree r.e. the forge in Org.

Undead is up there with humans as my favorite starting lands. Mulgore is also good. It's Durotar and the Barrens that suck.

For the most part it seems to me that the Alliance spend just about as much time running around as horde do. Mulgore felt roughly the same as Elwyn and Westfall to me. The only notable exception is the Barrens and Durotar. You spend alot of time hoofing it in those zones. Thank the Earthmother for ghostwolf.

The upcoming flight path to Camp T. will be a tremendous boost to hordlings everywhere ! If Blizzard is attempting to get more people to roll horde they might also consider adding a flight path to Razor Hill

Heh, every time I run from Razor Hill to Orgrimmar I wonder why the HELL they made it take so long.
I would type "Eamin is right", but I'm afraid I'll get .sigged by that bastard... - Brahma Atman I cannot remember another time when you have ever been wrong - Snapdragyn Oh, and eamin is right again. - Yyidth I think you're the most intelligent poster on these forums by far Eamin - The Arch Conservative Even though you were right, I won't admit it. - Floydian

The only 'good' guys in WOW are the horde. The elves are already corrupted to the core, and the humans are getting in bed with the demons as well. The fact that their leaders are either outright evil (elves) or puppets (humans) just makes it sink in that there's nothing good left in the alliance. Then of course they have the abominations known as gnomes and dorfs.

The human leadership expels the evil entities in question from Stormwind when they learn of the threat, and the Stormwind humans have nothing whatsoever to do with demons.

That only really annoyed me at the end of beta HERE COMES BURNING LEGION event. Just swarms of people in a constant rush from Razor Hill to Org in ghost form.

The hord does have some horrible hauls - I dont think I could play on the hord side without having some sort of speed-buff like ghost-wolf. Theres been more than one occasian where I've thought

    - Fuckit,I dont feel like running there, and logged off instead.

The undead population on pve is nearly that of trolls and orcs combined. Yes, Durotar sucks, and it shows! The barrens sucks and all four races find their way there on servers to live out a slice of their newbie lives.

The run from Thunderbrew Distillery to Ironforge must be half the length of the razor hill inn to orgimmar. Also, the alliance inns are cool and have lots of detail, and music. Horde inns are miserable little circular rooms with no personality.

The orcs are getting in bed with the burning legion, not the humans!

Hey, at least Blizzard is putting a GY at Org gates in the next patch at long bloody last.

Ditto the Camp T flight path.

The orx WERE in bed with the burning legeon (past tense) now they actively try to uproot any demonic influences. The "treaty" with the forsaken (pretty easily depicted as NOT goodguys) is one purely made of necessity from both sides of the table. The trolls are too busy killing each other to be of any global concern, and the tauren are certainly goodguys with the orx.

The humans have all turned into mercenaries (100 npc bad humans to every 1 npc good one). I cant say anything bad about the dwarves, but theres not much to say about them at all so thats not really telling. The elves are power-hungry in their post heroic act of giving up their immortality, thus are NOT the goodguys anymore. The gnomes.. well.. assuming they dont die off, they're just pink-skinned goblins.

did you really just say orx?

Ok...I just visited the Pools of Vision in Thunder Bluff with my shaman, and W...T...F. All 3 major Horde cities have a mage trainer? Screw that! I had to run from Dolanaar to Ironforge to train! There isn't even a trainer in Theramoore!

Yes, but we don't have hunter trainers in all our cities like you do. And only 1 city has a druid trainer as opposed to Alliance's two. There's no rogue trainer in Thunder Bluff etc. There are probably other similar things on Alliance side. It roughly ends up evening out.

I think the fact that horde appears to be winning left and right is an indication that some really wacky things are going on to cause it...

The skill of Horde players is obviously forged in the fire of our long ass runs everywhere.
